Educators Financial Group is proud to have been recognized as a great place to work and one of the Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance in Canada for 2022 by the Great Places to Work® Institute.
At Educators, we know that delivering a world-class client experience requires inspired employees. I am grateful that the Educators team, through their participation in this certification process, recognized Educators Financial Group as a Great Place to Work and one of the Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance in Canada.
– Chuck Hamilton, President and CEO, Educators Financial Group
Applying for the Great Place to Work Certification is a two-step process. The first step is employee-driven, when company employees are surveyed using the Institute’s research-backed Trust Index® Survey. A positive score of 65% or more must be received for the company to move on to step two: the completion of a Culture Brief which outlines the company’s programs and practices. If the Institute’s benchmarks are met, a company is then eligible for certification.
To be eligible for the Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance list, organizations must be Great Place to Work Certified™ and have exceptionally high scores from employees on the Trust Index survey.
Educators Financial Group ensures their employees realize their vital part in the company in many ways, including through the company’s Communication Strategy, which allows employees to feel motivated and connected, and to have a sense of belonging to something bigger and unique.
This Strategy features:
- meetings with the CEO
- CEO and HR-hosted round tables
- quarterly half-day Town Hall meetings
- monthly all-staff and departmental meetings
- individual coaching with one’s manager, and a
- anonymous employee engagement surveys.
Over the past two years, Educators has proven its commitment to the well-being of its employees through initiatives such as their “Work from Anywhere” program, as well as the new Heath & Wellness Program with its HealthOne partnership.
Employee participation is encouraged and valued, as evidenced in Educators’ 5 employee-led Volunteer Committees. The Social Committee, Employer of Choice Committee, Committee for Community Care, Town Hall Committee, and Joint Health and Safety Committee reinforce Educators’ culture of collaboration, reinforce core values, contribute to charitable causes in the community, and encourage fun social get-togethers.
