These Official Rules supplement any terms and conditions set forth in any email received. Information about how to enter and Prizes form part of the Official Rules. By submitting an Entry (defined below), each Entrant agrees to the Official Rules and warrants that their Entry complies with all requirements set out in the Official Rules.

Entry:

4. To enter the Contest, submit your referral(s) via the referral form linked within any Refer-a-Friend email received during the Contest Period. Referrals submitted must (1) be either an active or retired teaching or non-teaching educational worker in a province in Ontario, which includes staff of a board of education, a university, a college, a private educational facility, an education consortium or affiliate (including the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation and other education unions), or their family members (spouse, parents and children), (2) be a resident of Ontario, and (3) have reached the age of majority in their province of residence by January 1, 2025. For each eligible referral submitted, the Entrant will receive one ballot (each an “Entry”).

5. All referrals and Entries become the sole and exclusive property of Sponsor, and receipt of such referrals and Entries may not be acknowledged or returned. By participating in the Contest, you represent and warrant that the information that you have submitted or will submit to the Sponsor in connection with the Contest is true, correct, and complete in all material respects and is not misleading.

6. If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that an Entrant has attempted to use multiple names, identities or email addresses to enter or otherwise participate in or to disrupt this Contest and/or not complied with the Contest Rules, then the Entrant may be disqualified from the Contest in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. An Entry may be rejected if (in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor) it is not fully completed with all required information and received in accordance with these Contest Rules. Sponsor and the Released Parties (defined below) are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete, illegible, or incompatible Contest-related information, which may be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion. All Entries and entrants are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government-issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any Contest-related information submitted or received (or purportedly submitted or received) for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Contest Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeline specified by the Sponsor may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.

Prize:

7. One winning Entrant will receive one (1) cash prize of $1,000 (the “Prize”). The winner will be chosen in accordance with these Official Rules. The Prize will be awarded following the close of the Contest Period, at a time and in a manner to be determined at Sponsor’s sole discretion. No substitution, cash equivalent, or transfer of the Prize is permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or a portion thereof) with one of equal or greater value. The Prize awarded is subject to the restrictions and limitations noted in these Official Rules, and the winner must abide by all such limitations and restrictions. The winner agrees to accept the Prize “as is.” The Sponsor may resolve any concerns, questions, or complaints related to the Prize in its sole discretion.

Winner Selection:

8. The winner will be selected by random drawing from all Entries received. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. All decisions of the Sponsor are final in all matters, including determination of the Contest winners, interpretation of these Official Rules, and awarding of Prizes. Even if your Entry qualifies you as a potential winner at the close of the Contest, you have not yet won a Prize. Potential winners are subject to verification by the Sponsor, and must meet all eligibility requirements before Entrant will be confirmed as the winner and a Prize will be awarded.

Notification:

9. The potential winner will be notified by email or any other method chosen by Sponsor in accordance with the information received. A potential winner will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question, sign and return a standard liability release and publicity release within 14 days of prize notification, and otherwise comply with the Contest Rules. If the potential winner does not respond to the notification; or if notification to the potential winner is returned as undeliverable; or if a potential winner rejects their Prize; or if a potential winner does not execute and deliver any required documents to the Sponsor by the specified deadline; or if the potential winner fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question described above within the time permitted; or if a potential winner does not comply with these Official Rules, that potential winner may be disqualified from the Contest, and Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner. After September 26, 2025, all prize claims shall be null, and void and no more prizes will be awarded.
